Getting Started - Sites
Getting your website started is a simple process with GoBoost. You can start by logging into the platform. Not sure how to log in? Follow these steps.
Once you’re logged in, click on “Try Sites Platform”.
First, you’ll need to review the plan options available to you and select a plan in relation to your goals. If you need help deciding what plan is best for you, reach out to support@goboost.com to speak with our Sales Manager for assistance in signing up.
Next, you will be prompted to enter your domain information. You can choose to use an existing domain or purchase a new one through GoBoost. Your domain is the name that somebody would type in their google search bar with www. before it in order to get to your website, and usually ends in .com!
- To use an existing domain, enter the domain name. Include “.com” (or other ending). Do not include “https://” or “www.”. We recommend using existing domains if you can, as these will carry website traffic history over to your new website and continue that traffic in order to build on it. Starting with a new domain means starting from ground zero (we can still get you where you need to be, though!).
- To purchase a new domain, enter your desired domain name and hit the “Check Availability” button. We will immediately search on your behalf to see if that domain is available or taken. Once you’ve found an available domain, hit “Next.” Domains through GoBoost are $20, renewing annually. We will own it but can transfer ownership to you should you ever choose to leave and take your domain with you.
Next, you will be prompted to upload your business logo. This is the logo that will appear on your website.
Then, you can choose the template that your website will be based on and get a quick sneak peak of what’s to come. Peruse the options and click “Select This Design” when you’re ready.
You may also be prompted to select a Primary and Secondary color scheme for your website. We recommend matching these colors to your logo. If you upload your logo, we will provide color options automatically that match the colors in your logo.
All that’s left at the end is to start building your website by entering your credit card information and clicking the “Pay” button! If your website plan comes with customization options, we recommend that you look out for the email to schedule a meeting with your Site Builder to go over requested alterations in the first week, as you will have priority over any other requested changes during this time period!
