Never Touch Nameservers
Updating your DNS settings to make your site live can sometimes be a confusing process, especially when Nameservers get involved. Updating and changing the wrong thing can potentially bring down your company emails and website if done incorrectly.
What is a Nameserver?
Nameservers are the DNS servers that store all of the DNS records for a domain including, A records, CNAME records, MX records, etc..
Why Would I Change Nameservers?
Some website providers may have you redirect your nameserver to an external service for added security or other purposes. When updating your DNS settings to make your WebSuite website live you may have to change your nameservers back to their defaults. If this is the case, please reach out to us for professional assistance.
